The terms for using ShiftScript accounts, shared workspaces, meeting
processing and email features.
Last updated:
1. The service and these terms
ShiftScript is operated by Earny in South Africa. It helps teams
turn transcripts and selected Google Meet notes into summaries,
decisions, proposed tasks and tracked work. These terms apply when
you use the service. Our
Privacy Policy explains its data handling.
Questions can be sent to
meetings@earny.co.za.
Use the service only if you are at least 18 and authorised to act
for any organisation whose information you submit. If you do not
accept these terms, do not create an account or submit content.
2. Accounts and shared workspaces
Provide accurate account details, protect your credentials and
tell us about suspected misuse. Workspace owners manage
invitations and roles. Only invite authorised people. Members must
respect the confidentiality of workspace content; someone with
access may be able to export or email it using permitted features.
Joining a workspace does not give you ownership of colleagues'
personal information. Removing a member does not recall copies
they previously downloaded or received by email. Account or
workspace deletion requests are handled through
the deletion request process.
3. Your content and meeting permission
You retain your rights in the content you submit. You give Earny
the permission needed to host, process, display and transmit it to
provide the features you request, including through the service
providers described in the Privacy Policy. This does not give
Earny ownership of your meeting content.
You are responsible for obtaining any required permission to
record, transcribe, import, process or share a meeting. Do not
submit content you are not entitled to use, other people's
credentials, unlawful material or information that your
organisation prohibits sharing with the configured providers.
When unpaid Gemini API processing is used, submit only fictional
or appropriately anonymised test content. Its provider terms
permit product improvement and human review and prohibit
submission of personal, confidential or sensitive information.
Confirm the deployed processing arrangement with Earny before
uploading real private meetings.
4. AI output and approvals
AI output can be incomplete or wrong, including speaker identity,
decisions, task owners, deadlines and urgency. Check the source
and correct the proposals before approving them. AI output is not
a verified record or professional legal, financial or medical
advice. Do not rely on it for high-stakes decisions without
suitable human review.
Task approval, deadline selection and progress updates are user
actions. ShiftScript does not guarantee that an assigned person
will see, accept or complete a task.
5. Google, Calendar and email features
Google connections depend on your permissions, available meeting
artifacts, account eligibility, Google's OAuth approval and
provider availability. Connecting Google does not automatically
record meetings or guarantee access to notes.
Calendar links prepare event drafts; you must save them in Google
Calendar. Repeated saves can create duplicate events. Later task
changes do not automatically update an existing event.
Check each email preview and recipient address before sending
invitations or recaps. Recipient addresses may be outside your
workspace. Delivery acceptance is not a guarantee that an email
reaches the inbox. Sent emails cannot be recalled by ShiftScript.
Daily reminders are optional and subject to service and delivery
limits.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use ShiftScript for spam, harassment, deceptive
invitations, unlawful surveillance or unauthorised access. Do not
bypass workspace permissions, abuse quotas, attack the service or
submit instructions intended to compromise other users'
information. Follow applicable law and relevant Google, Firebase,
Gemini, Zoho and hosting terms.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to investigate
abuse, protect information, comply with legal obligations or
address a serious breach. Contact us if you believe a restriction
is mistaken.
7. Availability, limits and fees
Features and quotas may change as the service develops.
Availability depends partly on third-party services and account
plans. A free pilot is not a promise of unlimited AI usage or
permanently free service. Any future paid offering must explain
its price and applicable terms before purchase; these terms do not
authorise an undisclosed charge.
Keep suitable copies of important work. We take reasonable care in
operating the service but cannot promise uninterrupted
availability, error-free outputs or successful delivery of every
third-party action.
8. Responsibility, legal rights and changes
You are responsible for your content, approvals and sharing
choices. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Earny is not
responsible for losses caused by incorrect AI output, unauthorised
sharing by a user or provider outages outside its control. Nothing
in these terms excludes a right or liability that cannot lawfully
be excluded.
South African law applies, subject to mandatory rights that apply
to you. Contact
meetings@earny.co.za so
we can try to resolve a dispute. These terms do not prevent you
from approaching a competent court or regulator.
We publish changes on this page with an updated date and give
appropriate notice of material changes. Stop using the service and
request account closure if you do not accept an applicable change.
